Getting to know our people...

Got questions? We can answer them...

How do I apply for a job with Southeastern?

All of our vacancies are advertised on our website. Each one has a link to take you to the online application form. See our current vacancies.

Do you accept CVs for applications?

We never accept just CVs. All candidates need to complete an online application form. For some roles you may need to submit a CV as well.

If the location or position I’m looking for isn’t being advertised, can I apply anyway

No, you can only apply for vacancies that are advertised. Once you’ve registered for an account with us, you can set up job alerts. You’ll get an email when a role or location you’re looking for becomes available. Set up an account now.

Why has a job advert expired before the advertised closing date?

We sometimes close adverts early if we get enough suitable applications (this should be stated in the advert). If you are interested in a role, apply as early as you can.

How can I keep track of the status of my application?

We try to email all candidates with updates on the progress of their application.  You can also check on the status of your application at any time by logging in to your careers account.

Why have I been invited to complete online tests / attend an assessment centre?

The tests and assessment centres help us predict how you’ll perform in the role you’ve applied for and assess the key skills you’ll need.

I received an email inviting me to book an assessment slot – why can’t I find the assessment scheduling tool?

If you can’t find the assessment scheduling tool, it means all of the assessments are fully booked.  We’ll let you know when more dates are available.

The role I am interested in says “Future opportunities.” What does that mean?

“Future opportunities ” means we’re recruiting candidates for a Talent Pool. This allows us to react quickly to fill positions across the business as they arise.

If my application was unsuccessful, can I apply again?

Not right away. There’s a waiting period of six months before you can reapply for the same or a similar role.

How can I update my personal details on my application form?

If any of your personal details have changed or you want to withdraw your application, please log in to your account on the Southeastern careers portal.
